WOW, peek inside a tulip and you'll see the entire universe unfold!
Happy Mothers Day! Thank you Moms, Grandmas, special Wise Women friends, teachers, and care givers who have all been wonderful mothers to us!
All my little friends are telling us to lighten up and have some fun. I'm taking a painting class and traveling a bit. So I won't be visiting regularly for a while. Hope you're enjoying the springtime doing something to feed your spirit!
Yay, the amazing roofers got the shingles on the back side of the house before the rain started up! Those poor men scraped off four layers of roofing on a 100 year old house - the last layer being wooden shingles with lots of nails. I'm so grateful for roofers!
Yesterday we went to Old Orchard Beach. It's so cool under the piers when the water comes rushing in. It sounds like thunder! It just makes you happy to be outside playing. Maine is tricky. The winters are so long then spring comes along turns everything green, calls you to the beach and mountains and you forget all about feeling sorry for yourself until next winter.
Tomorrow the work men are coming to rip the roof off our house right down to the rafters. It will leave us exposed to the elements and let in some new light. Then they'll rebuild a new roof from the bottom up. It seems an apt metaphor for life right now. We'll see what interesting stuff comes up!
This evening we had roasted vegetables with home made olive bread. A happy Earth Day meal and a perfect way to heat up the house on a rainy New England day. Sending out some love vibes to our beautiful Earth and to you tonight.
Most of time I have more questions than answers and I just have to be patient and wait it out. While I'm waiting I like to watch the crows and ravens. They often give me clues on how to think about the various mysteries of life. All in all those ravens and crows are very wise teachers.
It's awesome at the Skelton dam and fish lift on the Saco River right now. The water is running high and fast. We like to look for eagles and hawks this time of year and it's a great place to kayak when the water slows down a bit.
